I think maybe it was on a family vacation on Fire Island. It was really fun for the whole family for, like, 17 minutes, then the kids were off to something else and I found myself here. All alone in this beautiful place. Over the course of the years, as my art has dealt with political and social issues and language and semiotics and other things that require a lot of scratching from me and probably from the viewers of my creations as well.
